The Hennessey Venom F5 is basically the hypercar craziness turned up to 11, and if you wanted to experience all of its fury with the pleasure of open-top driving, there was a Venom F5 Roadster for you to order as well–assuming of course you have the $3 million for the privilege.

Even if John Hennessey has yet to prove to the world that the Venom F5 is indeed the fastest production car ever, they’ve already released earlier this year an even more insane Venom F5 Revolution. Inevitably, this meant that a roadster version will follow suit, and that’s what you’re laying your eyes on right now.

Venom F5 Revolution Roadster Offers Open Top Fury

Say hello to the Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution Roadster, which builds upon the track-focused nature of the Venom F5 Revolution, but gives you the option to remove the top if you so dare. Hennessey hasn’t revealed any top-speed claims for this year, but it’ll surely be slower than the standard Venom F5’s 300 mph claim due to the added aerodynamic accouterments and the option to open the roof.

Speaking of those aerodynamic accouterments, these include significantly larger front and rear splitters, dive planes on the front fascia, and a distinctive rear wing. There’s also retuned suspension, new wheels, and digital track telemetry. What’s carried over from the Venom F5 Revolution coupe is its high-mounted central air scoop, which delivers fresh cool air to the F5’s engine bay.

Delicious Naked Carbon Fiber

Oh, and if you’ve probably noticed, the Venom F5 Revolution Roadster is dressed in a sexy suit of naked carbon fiber. Only the first five models will feature this exterior finish, and mind you, this isn’t just haphazardly designed naked carbon fiber panels.

Each carbon fiber panel has been woven in a herringbone pattern that meets at the center line of the vehicle, and each panel’s weave seamlessly meets with each other. Each of the five vehicles features a deeply polished clearcoat that protects the exposed composite, and to further accentuate the beauty of the panels, bright opaque paint provides a visual contrast from every angle.

This same material is also used in the removable roof panel, which is specifically made out of rigid carbon fiber composites. Despite its track-focused nature, the roof isn’t just a simple panel because the roof fully insulates the occupants against the elements, and at this price point, your roofline has to be made out of Alcantara, because of course, it should.

You’re spending millions of dollars on a hypercar and that’s what you deserve–even if it’s a lightweight track-focused hypercar. Speaking of lightweight, the roof panel only weighs 18 pounds, making the removal and installation process just a single person’s job. If you can’t lift 18 pounds, then you absolutely need to hit the gym bud.

Fury Provides Power To The People

Providing all that revolutionary amounts of power is the same 6.6-liter “Fury” twin-turbo V-8 that also sees duty in the Venom F5 Revolution Coupe that puts out a colossal 1,817 horsepower and 1,193 pound-feet of torque. As with the other models, this is mid-mounted in the carbon-fiber monocoque chassis and can be viewed in its full glory from its tempered glass engine viewing window.

Hennessey says that the glass is about four times stronger than ordinary annealed glass. The glass is encapsulated within a removable carbon fiber engine cover that features intricately milled heat extraction holes that match those in the rear bumper vents.

“The new Venom F5 Revolution Roadster combines our track-focused hypercar with an open-top for an unmatched visceral driving experience. This first example, a bespoke build for a special client, debuts our bare carbon finish with its meticulous handcrafted exposed carbon-fiber weave. Our hypercar is a timeless work of art that is as visually inspiring as it is physically engaging, thanks to its 1,817-hp combustion-only twin-turbocharged V8.” – John Hennessey, company founder, and CEO

Want one? Well, you have to fork out $3 million for the privilege–a price that’s similar to the coupe. Oh, so you’re saying you’ve got $3 million lying around? Too bad, because all 12 units have already been spoken for. The second-best thing you could do is see the new Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution Roadster in person at its global public debut on August 18 at The Quail, which is a motorsports gathering during the Monterey Car Week 2023.
